" He (Konrad Alf Lindberg) returned to Norway with Melanton RASMUSSEN and Frithjof PEDERSEN by boat from Shetland towards the end of the Winter of 1940. (19.11.1940 ) As far as we know, his wireless set proved faulty and he never got in touch with England. Shortly after his arrival in Norway he was arrested for espionage by the Gestapo, and it was announced in the Norwegian press much later that he had been executed on 11th August, 1941, with Melanton RASMUSSEN and Frithjof PEDERSEN. It is believed that he was one of the first Norwegians to be executed. "
