1. Under ideell conditions W/O Mansfield successfully carried out his detail. Flak was observed over the route, but only once they were under fire. While crossing the Oslo Fjord an unidentified aircraft, probably a JU88 passed close to the aircraft on a receprocal course. He landed at Marston Moor on retur.

2. F/O Hoskyns dropped his full load of containers, but in spite of four runs over the DZ, he was unable to open the rear door to throw out the packages.
Flak was observed over the Norwegian parrt of the route, but none of it was close to the aircraft. On the return journey "nickels" were dropped north of Kristiansand. On return he landed at RAF Rufforth. Packets RTB.
Field acknowledged success although material in some containers destroyed.
