Their mission: To reconnoitre the ÅndalsnesDombås railway, prepare weapons and explosives dumps near the railway, prepare counter-scorch plans for the railway.

6. Capt: PP identified with DR run from Sunnylvsfjord to lake.

9: Met: Base to Norwegian coast 5/10 convection cloud, base 2000'. Norway quite clear except for scattered cloud at 20.000 '. Visibility very good. From 60.30N ground covered in snow and ice, making pinpointing impossible. Valleys and lakes all approx the same.

10: Capt: Arrived pinpoint area 01:19, located target at 01:45. Pinpointed Sunnylvsfjord and made DR run to pinpoint. As the ground was covered in snow and ice, ground detail was hard to pick up. Spent approx. 20 min south of area before pinpointing lake. Located inpoint at 01:45, and made one circuit. Agents were asked if they were ready to jump, but queried the time a/c had been circeling, and when told 20 minutes, deceided not to jump, as a German camp situated 35 miles E of pinpoint would be on the lookout for the aircraft. Appeared to be plenty of activity in the centre og Paasbu Fjord. Great many flares seen, and from Agents, Germans working on Dam.

11.Remark: I consider that agent had no justification in refusing to jump
