Another notable operation took place the following night. the 2/3rd vvhen P/O Smith, his first operation as a Whitley captain flew CHEESE/FASTING to Norway. The target was on the southernmost tip of Norway in the Flekkeford area. Smith encountered trouble with his port airscrew soon after leaving the English coast at Cromer. He decided to continue and crossed the Norwegian coast 16km south of Flekkenford where there was 2/10th cloud and patches of mist. However the target area was clear and they dropped two agents and 2 package successfully from 2,000 feet. Three parachutes were seen to open, two were camouflaged and one white.
Agents by Moonlight, Freddie Clark.
